The Last Supper Series

A series of four drawings inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s painting, The Last Supper.

Each drawing observes the reactions of a small group of people, where the stimulus for their response occurs out of sight, beyond the frame of the composition. What remains is the moment itself – the aftermath of something unheard and unseen – held in suspension. Each figure is caught in a distinct reaction, yet together they form a shared, interconnected scene. In this frozen instant, the work invites considerations regarding what might have happened, but also the subtle ways we respond to one another in moments of surprise, tension, and understanding.
